Q: Can this cabinet be recessed in to a wall?
A: None of our cabinets have been designed specifically to be recessed in to a wall. However, if you wire the cabinet to your main bathroom lighting circuit, so that the cabinet lights turn on/off with your main bathroom light, then it will be possible to partially recess the cabinet. If partially recessing your cabinet, it will not be possible to use the sensor switch to activate the lights.
Q: How does the sensor switch activate the lights?
A: Simply swipe your hand by the sensor switch, within the 5cm detection range. When you have finished using the lights, simply swipe your hand by the sensor switch again. We do recommend leaving a space of at least 15cm between the sensor switch and an adjacent wall/object as obstructions can prevent the sensor switch from working to its full ability.
Q: Will mounting a shelf underneath the Elana affect the sensor switch at all?
A: No, as the sensor switch is located on the right hand side of the cabinet. However, we do advise the Elana is installed no closer than 15cm away from any adjacent walls/objects, as these could interfere with the activation of the LEDs.
Q: Am I able to activate the LEDs from my main bathroom light switch?
A: The Elana can be wired up to your main bathroom lighting circuit, meaning that the LEDs & other features will activated/de-activated along with your main bathroom light. This would also bypass the infra red sensor switch on the right hand side of the cabinet. If you plan on installing the item less than 30cm from an adjacent wall/object on the right hand side of the cabinet, we do advise the cabinet be connected to your main bathroom lighting circuit.
Q: How deep are the internal shelves?
A: The depth of the shelves are 8cm and these are also adjustable for added convenience.
