Q: How does the demister pad work on the Fleur and how hot does it get?
A: The Demister Pad gently heats the surface of the bathroom mirror to between 8-15 degrees Centigrade higher than the room temperature usually in around 30 seconds. The demister pads are made to produce a fixed number of Watts per square meter and so the device can run consistently and safely on full power without over-heating
Q: How does the Sensor activate the lights on the Fleur?
A: By simply moving your hand in front of the sensor, within a 5 cm detection range, the mirror or cabinet lights will activate.
Q: What does IP44 rating mean?
A: IP rating stands for “ingress protection” and the numbers refer to the level of protection (from water, steam, dust). IP44 means that the Fleur can be installed anywhere within bathroom zones 1,2 or 3. Zone 1 is the area above the bath to a height of 2.25m (7ft 4in) from the floor. If the light is 240v then a 30ma residual current device (RCD) must also be used to protect the circuit in this zone. Zone 2 is an area stretching 0.6m (1ft 11in) outside the perimeter of the bath and to a height of 2.25m (7ft 4in) from the floor. It is good practice to consider the area around the wash basin, within a 60cm (1ft 11in) radius of any tap to be considered as Zone 2. Zone 3 is anywhere outside Zones 1 & 2 and where no water is likely to be used.
Q: Can I rotate the Fleur to be portrait /landscape?
A: Yes the majority of our mirrors can be hung portrait or landscape although mirror features will be in different positions.
Q: Does the Fluer offer sufficient lighting for make-up application?
A: As the LEDs are positioned on the from of the mirror and shine outwards towards you, the Fleur is perfect for make-up application or shaving!
