Q: Does the shaver socket on the Millennium constantly use electricity? A: No, the shaver socket is energy efficient and only activated once a shaver or an electric toothbrush is plugged in. Q: Is the Millennium well packaged? A: Yes, the Millennium is extremely well packaged. In addition to internal polystyrene packaging to protect the mirror we also include inner and outer high quality cardboard cartons. Q: What does IP44 rating mean? A: IP rating stands for “ingress protection” and the numbers refer to the level of protection (from water, steam, dust). IP44 means that the product can be installed anywhere within bathroom zones 1,2 or 3. Zone 1 is the area above the bath to a height of 2.25m (7ft 4in) from the floor. If the light is 240v then a 30ma residual current device (RCD) must also be used to protect the circuit in this zone. Zone 2 is an area stretching 0.6m (1ft 11in) outside the perimeter of the bath and to a height of 2.25m (7ft 4in) from the floor. It is good practice to consider the area around the wash basin, within a 60cm (1ft 11in) radius of any tap to be considered as Zone 2. Zone 3 is anywhere outside Zones 1 & 2 and where no water is likely to be used. Q: Can the item be connected to a plug? A: Yes, the item can be connected to a standard plug. Q: Should I employ an electrician to install the Millennium? A: Many of our customers are happy to install their Millennium mirror. However this is your decision, if you do not feel confident to install the mirror we would strongly recommend that you employ the services of a qualified electrician.
