Electrical Product Recycling (WEEE)
Pebble Grey sells electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), including LED bathroom mirrors and illuminated cabinets. Under the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013, we are required to provide information about the responsible disposal and recycling of electrical products.
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol
You will notice a crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on our products and packaging. This symbol means the product must not be disposed of with your normal household waste. Electrical products contain materials that can be harmful to the environment if not recycled correctly, and many contain valuable materials that can be recovered and reused.
How to recycle your Pebble Grey product
When you have finished with a Pebble Grey electrical product, you have the following options:
- Take-back at purchase: Under the WEEE regulations, when you buy a new like-for-like electrical product from us, you are entitled to return your old equivalent product for recycling free of charge. To arrange this, contact us at support@pebblegrey.co.uk with your order number before or at the time of your purchase.
- Local authority recycling centres: Most local councils operate Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) that accept electrical products. Visit gov.uk/recycling-collections or your local council website to find your nearest centre.
- Retailer take-back schemes: Many UK electrical retailers operate in-store take-back schemes for small electrical items. Check with your local electrical retailer.
Batteries
Battery-operated Pebble Grey mirrors contain rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. These must not be placed in your general household recycling or waste. Lithium-ion batteries can be recycled at most large supermarkets, electrical retailers, and council recycling centres. Remove the battery from the product where possible before recycling the product separately.
Our compliance
Pebble Grey is registered with a UK Producer Compliance Scheme in accordance with the WEEE Regulations 2013. WEEE Producer Registration Number: WEE/MM0026AA. We fulfil our WEEE obligations through this scheme, which funds the collection, treatment, and recycling of electrical waste across the UK.
